Pregnancy Testing

Providing Answers For Those Who Think They Might Be Pregnant:

We offer a free pregnancy test to the women who come through our doors. In this day and age, women can purchase pregnancy tests in almost any store; therefore, we have grown with the
times. Today, when a woman thinks she might be pregnant and her test is positive, we also offer her a limited obstetric ultrasound.  (STD testing for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea are also  offered by the nurse under certain circumstances.)

Ultrasound is a powerful tool in saving unborn children from abortion. Even as early as 5 ½ weeks, a beating heart can be clearly seen; by 10 weeks, arms and legs can be clearly recognized.  The bonding process for mothers often occurs at that first glimpse of her baby on that ultrasound screen.

Almost a third of the women who enter the Center for a pregnancy test are accompanied by the father of the baby. It is our intent to have a male volunteer on duty during every shift that we are open in order to meet with that man, and offer him the same information being offered to his wife or girlfriend.
