Parenting Volunteers

The Parenting Program primarily consists of an 8-week basic parenting class, advanced classes on a wide array of subjects, and our Boutique, which offers clothing and baby items for children size two and under, which are purchased with points earned in the classes.

Volunteer positions available are:

Basic Parenting Instructors

Women and married couples are needed to instruct a small group of parents or prospective parents in an 8-week course on the basics of parenting. A structured curriculum is used for each class. Commitments usually work on an 8 weeks on and then 16 weeks off rotation.

Advanced Parenting Instructors

Once a man or woman has completed the basic parenting course, classes on a variety of other subjects are offered. These range from nutrition and budgeting to classes with a spiritual emphasis.

Boutique Workers

Volunteers are needed to help the men and women to shop with the points they earn in class. This can include doing some laundry and sorting as well.
